The IT Services Technology and Standards Symposium Held in Beijing
Recently, the “Integrated, Intelligent, and Secured IT Services Technology and Standards Symposium,” organized by the Information Technology Services Committee (ITSU) of the China Association of Trade in Services, was held in Beijing.
The event was co-chaired by Mr. Li Defang, Director of ITSU and former Director of the Information Management Department at Sinopec Group, and Mr. Wang Tongliang, Deputy Director of ITSU and former General Manager of the Science and Information Technology Department at CNOOC Group. Over 60 senior executives and technical experts from relevant government agencies, central and state-owned enterprises, industry associations, research institutions, and IT service companies attended the symposium.
The symposium focused on key challenges in the IT services sector, offering in-depth interpretations of three pioneering industry standards: the *Zero Trust Capability Maturity Model*, the *Specifications for IT Operation and Maintenance Services under the Shared Service Model*, and the *Classification and Grading Standards for Critical Spare Parts in Data Center and Computing Infrastructure*.
These discussions aimed to provide participants with a clear vision for industry development and to translate the outcomes of the symposium into concrete actions that drive industry progress. The goal is to help enterprises enhance operational efficiency, strengthen risk management frameworks, and optimize IT operations—ultimately promoting high-quality, sustainable growth across the IT services industry.
A representative from Bamboocloud, the drafting organization of the “Zero Trust Capability Maturity Model” standard, delivered a detailed presentation covering five key aspects: the background and significance of the standard, its foundational basis, core content, distinguishing features, and recommendations for future development. The standard focuses on practical deployment requirements and foundational principles across key domains of zero trust capabilities. It proposes a feasible and actionable maturity assessment framework designed to support organizations in planning and building zero trust capabilities. This initiative plays a vital role in advancing the standardization and regulation of zero trust practices across the industry.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Wang Xujun, former Director of the Information Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), fully affirmed the outcomes of the symposium and spoke highly of the value of the three group standards discussed. He noted that the standards are closely aligned with real-world needs and address key industry challenges, offering both innovative and practical guidance. These standards provide a clear direction for organizations in areas such as operations and maintenance management, spare parts assurance, and security protection. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the drafting organizations and relevant enterprises will further strengthen the promotion and application of these standards, continuously improve the standardization system, and inject strong momentum into the industry’s digital transformation.
Looking to the future, Bamboocloud will continue to drive enterprise development through technological innovation, increasing investment in digital technology research and development, enhancing its technical capabilities and service standards, and making greater contributions to high-quality, sustainable social development.
