The successful conclusion of the 3rd Bay Area Metaverse Conference and AIGC and RWA Development Summit Forum took place in Hong Kong on September 16. Prominent scholars, experts, and entrepreneurs from around the world convened in this gathering to engage in open dialogue, provide exhaustive summaries and analyses of the present state of the Metaverse, and collectively assess its future trajectory of development. Co-sponsors include Asia Television, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Association, the Hong Kong International Investment Association, the International Data Association, the United Nations Digital Security Alliance Metaverse Committee, the Shenzhen Information Service Industry Blockchain Association, Xpansion Chain, and China Boring Monkey. The conference is hosted by the Hong Kong Blockchain Technology Application Association.

The welcome address was delivered by Zheng Dingxiang, chairperson of the Hong Kong Blockchain Technology Application Association. He holds the following view: "As a result of advancements in science and technology, people have shifted their focus towards the distant future." The possibility of traversing to extraterrestrial planets and entering the metaverse is no longer remote. In the metaverse, the reversal of time and space has endowed us with boundless desire and imagination. We are becoming more receptive to entering the metaverse in comparison to emigrating to extraterrestrial planets.
Li Jiajun, chairperson of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural, Creative and Technology Alliance and a representative of the Hong Kong Yuanshi community, spoke at the conference. Hong Kong functions as both a global information conduit and a financial hub. Actively promoting the development of the Metaverse industry and the establishment of the Hong Kong Metaverse ecosystem are the Hong Kong government and all sectors of society.
Author of "Avalanche" and progenitor of the Metaverse Neal Stephenson presented a video address. Undoubtedly, his insightful perspectives on technology and the future will make him the focal point of the occasion.
Through a video link, the chairman of the United Nations Digital Security Alliance, Mr. Li Yuhang, addressed the conference. "The full potential of the Metaverse can only be realised when everyone, everywhere has access to it," Li Yuhang stated. "The United Nations has actively promoted the Metaverse, it plays a significant role in the Sustainable Development Goals, and it will mature in tandem with the technology." With a greater degree of integration with artificial intelligence, I am convinced that the Metaverse will initiate the subsequent era of tremendous growth.
Mr. Althaf Husain, the Chief Marketing Officer of Expansion Chain and Honorary Chairman of the British Blockchain Association, possesses extensive knowledge regarding the metaverse's integration with blockchain technology. During his address, he imparted profound insights regarding the national strategy to propel industrial innovation in the Metaverse. His discourse not only underscored the criticality of the Metaverse to the progress of the nation but also envisioned a bright future brimming with optimism and innovation.
Chairman of the International Data Association (IDA) and Director of the Digital Economy Research Institute of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum, Mr. Wang Chunhui, delivered the keynote address on "Value Creation of Enterprise Data Resources" at the conference.
