Hunan HarmonyOS Ecosystem Full-Scenario Industry Matchmaking | Co-Building the HarmonyOS Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem, Co-Building the Digital Trust Foundation
On September 21, the Hunan Province HarmonyOS Ecosystem Full-Scenario Digital Industry Matchmaking Party Building Collaboration Event was held at the HarmonyOS Ecosystem (Changsha) Innovation Center. The event was guided by the Work Committee of Departments Directly Under the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and jointly hosted by the Party Committee of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the HarmonyOS Ecosystem (Changsha) Innovation Center. Relevant provincial departments, competent authorities from the three cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan, leading provincial enterprises, national HarmonyOS ecosystem enterprises, and mainstream provincial and municipal media gathered together for in-depth exchanges on scenario opening and ecosystem co-building.
At the event, eight provincial departments – the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Health Commission, the Provincial Department of Emergency Management, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Provincial Data Bureau – jointly signed the "Hunan Province HarmonyOS Ecosystem Full-Scenario Digital Industry Matchmaking Party Building Collaboration Responsibility Statement," marking the official establishment of a long-term collaboration mechanism in Hunan Province for HarmonyOS ecosystem supply-demand matchmaking with provincial-level coordination and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan synergy.
Liu Weidong, Party Member and First-Level Inspector of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, presided over the meeting session. Ye Renxiong, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Tang Libin, Deputy Secretary in charge of daily work of the Work Committee of Departments Directly Under the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the event and delivered speeches. They advocated using this "dual list" matchmaking as an opportunity to promote the pilot deployment of HarmonyOS technology in key industries such as smart healthcare, smart cultural entertainment, smart industry, smart emergency management, and smart education, forming a batch of replicable and scalable domestic HarmonyOS application demonstration benchmarks.

The Electronic Information Division of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released on-site the "Hunan Province and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Region Scenario HarmonyOS Transformation Cooperation Opportunity List (2026)," covering 12 major fields including government affairs, transportation, parks, energy, water affairs, construction, healthcare, education, agriculture, industry, emergency response, and electric power. It集中 released 24 HarmonyOS transformation scenarios, specifying scenario descriptions, technical indicators, adaptation standards, and demanding units one by one, transforming scattered transformation needs across industries into an actionable "opportunity list" for matchmaking.
Du Jinbiao, General Manager of HarmonyOS Ecosystem Services (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., released the "Hunan Province and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Region Scenario HarmonyOS Transformation Solution List (2026)," jointly building 28 replicable and actionable solutions with more than 50 ecosystem partners, covering scenarios such as HarmonyOS smart parking, smart buildings, smart production lines, smart campuses, smart parks, government service halls, smart offices, smart utility tunnels, smart security, and smart transportation, forming a precise "demand-supply" interlock with the opportunity list.
Du Jinbiao introduced that in the six years since OpenHarmony was open-sourced, its codebase has exceeded 140 million lines; terminals equipped with HarmonyOS operating systems 6 and 7 have surpassed 85 million units and continue to grow at a rate of more than 170,000 units per day, with expectations to exceed 100 million units by the end of 2026; HarmonyOS phones hold a stable domestic market share of approximately 24%, with over 11 million registered developers.
He pointed out that the key proposition for the next stage of the OpenHarmony ecosystem is no longer just "how much has been adapted," but "how much has been replicated, how much has been sold, and how much value has been created." As AI moves from the center to the edge, OpenHarmony is moving from "device interconnection" to "intelligent collaboration." For Hunan enterprises, adapting to HarmonyOS is not just connecting to an operating system but opening a new entry point to hundreds of millions of users.

In the benchmark case sharing session, ecosystem enterprises showcased implementation results based on the open-source HarmonyOS foundation across six major tracks: smart industry, smart cultural entertainment, smart education, smart healthcare, emergency safety production, and government security.
In the ecosystem cooperation intention release session, Dong Ning, Chairman of Shenzhen Bamboocloud Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled "Co-Building the HarmonyOS Intelligent Manufacturing Ecosystem, Co-Building the Digital Trust Foundation," showcasing solutions such as HarmonyOS PC + OneID and the AI Trust Governance Hub, and extending cooperation invitations to local Hunan ecosystem enterprises.

Dong Ning mentioned in her sharing that as agents become new productivity entities and HarmonyOS OS connects the underlying fabric of the Internet of Everything, identity management is becoming the trust hub linking devices, agents, and computing power – making every cross-device transfer secure and seamless, making every agent's actions trustworthy and controllable, and enabling computing power to truly transform into governable productivity.
Dong Ning stated that Hunan is a major manufacturing province and an important foothold for the deployment of the HarmonyOS ecosystem. It provides ecosystem enterprises with full-chain services covering scenario matchmaking, product adaptation, compatibility certification, and ecosystem promotion, lowering the threshold and trial-and-error costs for accessing the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Policy support is also being strengthened in parallel. The Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone has issued special measures to support the application and adaptation of open-source systems: rewards are given to application software that passes open-source application certification for the first time and is listed, to chip and module enterprises that newly pass open-source adaptation and obtain compatibility certificates or GIIC Alliance Unified Interconnection Certificates, and to enterprises that have adapted open-source technology chips or modules and achieved large-scale sales. At the same time, it is accelerating the opening of demonstration scenarios in fields such as smart cities, smart communications, smart electric power, smart education, smart transportation, smart finance, smart healthcare, and smart industry, and will select a batch of outstanding open-source application demonstration scenarios each year.
From a single event to a normalized mechanism, from scenario posting to solution responding, Hunan is advancing the HarmonyOS ecosystem from large-scale deployment to value release along the path of "scenario traction – order traction – ecosystem formation."
