Dong Ning, Founder of Bamboocloud, Delivers Keynote Speech at the 2024 Yangtze River Delta - North German Digital Economy Industry Forum
On October 29, the 2024 Yangtze River Delta - North German Digital Economy Industry Forum, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Gongshu District People's Government, was held in Hangzhou.
Under the theme “Working Together for a Shared Future,” the event focused on trends in digital economy development. Attendees included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, key officials from three provinces and one municipality of the Yangtze River Delta region, economic departments of North German states, and a delegation from Germany's Global Bridges association. Experts, scholars, and business leaders from both China and Germany gathered to explore new cooperation opportunities in digital economy and advance a new framework for development.
Key speakers at the event included Mr. Ji Junmin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress; Ms. Li Yuxia, Counselor from the Foreign Affairs Management Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Dou Zhongyi, First Inspector at the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Luyong Sheng, Deputy Consul General of Germany in Shanghai; Mr. Cong Wu, Consul General of China in Hamburg; Dr. Hans Albrecht, Chairman of Global Bridges Germany; and Mr. Li Zhilong, Secretary of the CPC Gongshu District Committee in Hangzhou.
Mr. Ji Junmin, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, warmly welcomed the guests and provided a brief overview of Zhejiang's digital development progress. He highlighted the strong complementarities and vast potential for cooperation between the Yangtze River Delta and North Germany in the digital economy. Mr. Ji expressed hope for further collaboration and exchange in smart manufacturing, aiming to jointly drive high-quality growth in the digital economy.
During the forum, Dong Ying, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and Deputy Director of the Center for German Studies; Wang Zhen, Deputy Director of the Schleswig-Holstein Economic Development Office in Hangzhou; Chen Huanyu, General Manager of The SCHOTT Group; and Dong Ning, Founder of Bamboocloud, engaged in in-depth discussions on Sino-German digital economy innovation and market prospects. The participants offered various proposals for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the digital economy, collaborative innovation, and market expansion, injecting new momentum into the growth of Sino-German digital economic development.
